Been playing for a few weeks. Having a ton of fun. In a hauler just exploring and cataloging life – got lucky a few times with first finder stuff and have some credits, about 350 million.

A few of my friends and I got into this game together. Trying to make the best decision individually so we can play together, PvE options? Pvp down the road? With PvE, assuming it's all combat, or are there other kind of team-play options?

If so, wondering about the best way to go about making that a fun experience, supporting a group. If pure combat, wondering what that feels like in Elite. I played Squadrons heavily when that came out, love that "fighter" kind of ship combat. Was looking at Krait MKII, Alliance Chieftain? Unsure about the bigger heavier stuff, like Python, or an entry level Anaconda build. I want to be useful, but I don't want to miss out on smaller ship combat, if that's a thing in this game, and I might have the wrong idea about that anyway.

Two of my buddies are running pythons for trading, another is in a DBX smuggling and doing on foot missions and stuff.

I think my "endgame" is exploring, but in the meantime want to take advantage of playing with friends.
