Wings of gankers are directly responsible for the decline of this type of activity. Instead of dropping 3 on 1 on top of somebody looking to hook up for some PvP fun, why not pull, take a beat, leave the weapons in for a sec, and see if a 2 on 2 might be organized? If the numbers are off maybe look at ship builds and experience to make teams.
Fun for everyone. Otherwise, do you expect (wing-gankers) that one ship is going to fight all three of you? I'm just starting to learn PvP and I don't mind 'splodin at all but I'm not going to fight a pointless fight. I'm going to high wake and come back in. If I keep getting pulled by said gank-wing I have to use my block list, which is no fun for anyone, just so I can salvage some possible PvP with normal people. Sucks when you periodically clean out your block list (because it sucks to use it) and then find you have to re-add the same CMDRS stuck on this type of activity. I don't have the time or regular schedule, or temperament, to try to be in a PvP group or squadron. All I hope for are decently fair scratch-matches when I can.
A prominent commander you see there…I actually respect him and he's blown me up several times. He pulls anyone in anything by himself and fights a straight 1v1 (at least I haven't seen him do gank-winging).
Also I've discovered you can often get in system chat and say "Anyone wanna fight!" and lots of times someone wants to. I just don't get the point of the wing-ganking. It seems like it is hampering a better scene from unfolding.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
