On-foot mission suggestion

Hey all, just had a suggestion for making on-foot activities a bit more engaging.

Us space-leggers have all had those experiences where you spend 5 minutes flying to a mission, 2 minutes doing the mission, and 5 minutes flying back.

I’ve been feeling a desire to spend time on a planet experiencing the environment, and doing stuff that adds to that experience, so how about we get some extended bounty missions. Or perhaps an investigative mission where you find out how a person went missing and help find them?

We could bounce between settlements and homesteads, slowly uncovering a story that adds up to 30-60 minutes of full gameplay. Preferably on a hoverbike or something, but maybe I’m getting ahead of myself there 👀

I just feel like the current missions are a bit simple, besides the multi-step infiltration/assassination missions. I’d like to spend a game session on one planet, really uncovering something weird or wonderful.

I know the likelihood of seeing this stuff in the future is low, but how would everybody else feel about this? It would certainly require a lot of development, but I feel like the models and systems are all there to do something like this 🤔
