Opinion – Requiring FIR items for quest completing is just a lazy way of making the game harder and longer (giggity)

Look, I understand the thought behind an item being FIR vs. not. I might not agree, but I understand. What I don't understand is why SO MANY quests are simply hunting for FIR items. There are so many other tasks you can give a player that I just see these quests as lazy content.

I would much rather need to complete quests where I'm placing markers/killing 25 scavs while masterbaiting to a picture of a silenced TOZ while dehydrated. Not because I think those other quests are so fun and entertaining, but because I see the FIR items quests as just as lazy way to make content. I personally don't like getting soft locked behind an item that I can get easily, but just not FIR. It also breaks some of the games illusion for me because why would that dirty Russian smoke show care if I the Salewa I giver his was FIR or not? The only thing I hate more than questing for FIR items is Jaeger, because fuck that guy and his whole quest line.

Honestly, I would rather not have a secured container at all than deal with this FIR nonsense for quest items. That's all, carry on.
