Our world wasn’t reset, as I’ve seen some people mention today or in past forums. It was edited.
I woke up to a message from the devs saying they had to fix an issue with world syncing which would cause buildings near their changes to break. Sorry. Upon loading in, I noticed our base was sitting 2m above the ground, or more so that the ground underneath it had been lowered 2m causing its fundamental ground supports to now float above the ground. “Air supports” are not as effective as ground supports… Cue popcorn-like breaking of our entire base (no exaggeration) and an emotional breakdown from one very tired and grumpy gamer (hi).
Our spawn island has been edited with additional water which has separated it into four separate islands with large rivers between each. This is new. Our spawn island has always been one large meadows/black forest island. Additionally, the area we chose to build in went feom grassy meadows to now being completely submerged in water as if they rose the water level nearly 8m. There are a few areas we raised the terrain (tree farm and where our base was built) which can still be seen above the water, despite their peaks also being lowered 2m as mentioned.
Ergo, our world has been edited, not reset, but my will to play on has been dwindling all the same.
So, I’m wondering: has anyone else experienced this in the past 24hrs? What are you going to do about it? What advice does anyone have?
I’m borderline walking away completely but I’m considering giving the game pne last chance. Apaprently, there are a string of game-breaking issues like this in the past and other potential problems that have made many fans rage-quit and boycott over the years. I think one more chance is all it gets from me.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
