I’ve avidly hated poison NG meta since the day masquerade ball was announced in the MoO expansion. Double ball in particular was one of the most boring to play as and against decks I’ve ever seen become Meta. Repetitive as hell, usually uninteractive, binary.
But Philippe makes for an actually really damn fun semi-wincon. Put the lad behind a defender, clone him with Letho and start locking shit. Even if locking does nothing it sets them up for poison and for Imposter leader extra points. It’s fun as you have to calculate how to optimally use your orders rather than just click poison on the unit with highest number when playing aristocrat.
I can fully envision it might not be the most fun to play against though, but that’s usually how it goes.
Also, psst. He completely fucks over arachas strats, specially gerni. Perfect for greedy decks.
