Hey guys, I’m pretty sure that this is not the first, nor will it be the last question of this sort, but here goes. I absolutely LOVE the stand-alone version of this game. I also love The Witcher 3 version, which in my opinion is the ‘lite’ version of the game.
I’m not sure how anyone else feels, but when I was a kid, and Pokémon came out, the card game, or in my case, the urge to ‘Catch ‘em all’ took over my life. I didn’t really play the actual card game that often, but I would save up my allowance to buy booster packs as often as I could, in the hopes that I would open one and get new cards that I didn’t have yet. The feeling I got when I got a new Holographic or even a simple, non-holo card that I didn’t have yet, was something I haven’t had since those days.
I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards as well, but those I collected for the purpose of playing the game, so the collection aspect of it wasn’t as important to me.
When I saw that they were making a Gwent stand-alone game, I was super excited because of the amount of time I spent in TW3 playing the mini game. As amazing as the digital game is, It’s not the same as collecting physical cards. I know there are physical cards that are copies of TW3 version of the game, but the Gwent stand-alone, in my eyes, has so much more substance to it and would be a perfect candidate for an entire line of physical cards.
Let me know your guys’ stories and if you think this would be an awesome idea?
