I’ve just crossed the 1000 hour mark of time I’ve put into Tarkov across now my 3rd wipe.

It’s honestly an amazing game. I believe it’s beautifully made, but I feel after you’ve spend real time in the game it starts to show certain flaws that make certain players, which I think is a significant portion of players, struggle to continue enjoyment of the game.

I play the game solo. I don’t enjoy playing with random people, only those that I know personally, and they haven’t been into the game for about a half year now.

Here’s my complaint and why it’s not worth the frustration: as a solo you’re restricted to playing the game at a slower pace than groups as to not draw too much attention which will put you at a significant disadvantage of having the next man in a group finish you. You have to rat.

I don’t feel like typing up a massive story. But, I enjoy getting in engagements and outplaying people in adrenaline type gameplay. That’s fun to me. I’m an average to above average player. In Tarkov I can’t do that with much success and maintain roubles with all the load outs I lose. So I have to spend most my time doing what I don’t enjoy as much and that’s playing slow, avoiding engagements, and going on money runs.

The game of course favors the teams and the god like solos and those who like sitting in bushes for 10-20 minutes. But for me it has grown old to try to play my way of being at a disadvantage when I head to a spawn or hot zone near my own spawn just to be met with a 2-3 man (generally what I face), or even as I cross the map.

I love everything about this game, but it’s not worth the loss of enjoyment to put myself at a disadvantage raid after raid. I’m sure others feel the same.

Btw I play 95% customs because I enjoy the balance of the map. PvP, lotting, and with buildings and woods for layout mix up.

Looking to see if anyone shares my experience. Not needing advice because I don’t enjoy other play styles and I know I won’t be as good as the better players. Otherwise Tarkov is an amazing game to me.
