And what's worse are the games where you actually contain the mf'er in the early AND mid (actually stomping him is something I've yet to figure out tho' ) out cs him, out roam him & help your team. But you just know that unless u can turn the game into a one-sided stomp where you're at their throne before 30 mins, all the enemy team has to do is just act as distractions until this guy, who farms about 2x faster than most heroes, gets some items then just presses R, bubble and melts everyone to death.
And no, there's no way every warden I run into can be a smurf, cause they too make obvious mistakes relevant to my rank (4.3k atm) , but they just play on gm mode.
Screens of my last game (I was LD mid).
Yes they had 4 strong meta picks too, but they were kinda getting outperformed too throughout, but just holding out enough for us not to end the game until Mr.Cancer can delete all.
Why is a lot of the community so committed to defending this abomination of toxic design? The only thing that's changed when from Crusader 4 to Ancient 4 is that I now know the game better enough to punish him in the early, but it still doesn't change the outcome of the game, which makes it all the more depressing knowing you're giving it your all but it don't matter cause you're facing jesus-kun of free mmr.
What bugs me most is how forgiving his whole clone mechanic is, and I'm comparing it to Silas's Bear, also a pretty strong hero rn, which has been a great fun & rewarding journey going from a lowly 30% wr to a decent 58% now with 164 games on him. I was thinking how the clone might as well act like a better bear in most ways, where you're not totally screwed if it dies twice, or dies once and then u die, and can basically keeping sending it down lanes to farm & die/expire and then rinse & repeat. Not like the rest of your kit can't function properly w/o it either, or the individual abilities are in any shape or form weak, it's just not twice as strong.
It's cd just makes it spammable , and the gold it generates more than makes up for the gold it gives if it gets caught early. I'd much rather see it last longer, but have a much longer cd too so good warden players are rewarded for keeping it safe, while mediocre/bad ones are punished.
And I remember naive ol' me was dosed on hopium, hearing stories from warden defenders how once you get past the trenches (which I assumed were under mid legend) , the hero isn't as threatening anymore. Hah ~ jokes on me – unless the trenches meant everything under the top 1% of the playerbase.
tldr: will playing vs Arc Warden ever NOT feel so depressing?
