Popular or Unpopular Opinion: Scav Runs Are Pointless

Heard from someone that an experienced player (lvl 73) explained to him that running the scav is a waste of time and all effort should be put into your PMC.

I disagree. But I'm also new to the game (200hrs) and still learning things. I think both should be played. Especially if you're on a down streak of losses or progression with your PMC. You can recollect yourself on a run without the risk.

I also think the scav run allows players to try new things and take those risks they otherwise wouldn't on their main.

You have nothing but gain getting out on a scav. You also need money to protect and have good equipment and other resources to be competitive as a PMC if you happen to encounter another player.

I'm more careful and tend to sit quietly in certain spots on my PMC. My upper hand is simply being able to see you before you see me and hope my headshot hits. If it doesn't, I may get a second shot off before someone very experienced locates me and wins.

Friends I play with tend to keep moving and march right into areas. They usually get wiped. One or two of us almost always does unless we get an empty map or avoid players being more stealthy.

I'd like to see what others have to say.
