I beat Yagluth two nights ago. I personally had a roughy time, but that's just me. Last night, since I had defeated Yaggy-boi, I decided it's time to explore. I've heard a lot of people like the deep north, which is on my to-do list, but I haven't heard a lot of talk about the Ashlands, so I headed due south
Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to find the glowing metal veins, to which I got the elemental ore. As something that isn't "developed", it was nice to find not only a new type of forgeable metal, but also surtlings so I can prep for more portals once the next update drops, assuming we'll all have to make new seeds
After getting a stack of elemental ore, I set sail to head home when I discovered Mistlands. I am assuming the devs haven't put anything in there yet as I chose to run in and explore and didn't see a single enemy or anything. I did see ancient root? Will that be similar to ancient bark? I think it is safe to assume there will be spider monsters there, and spider silk will be a craftable resource. Here is also hoping for a spider boss! And since we're talking about bosses, maybe a lava golem boss for the Ashlands, or maybe a Ragnaros type boss?
Anyway, that was my experience last night. I'll be checking out the deep north eventually. What does everyone else think of these undeveloped areas?
