Hi all,
Doing my due diligence to let people know about the awful excuse for a company that is Shockbyte. I made the mistake of signing up for two Valheim servers with them without actually looking into them first.
The servers were constantly offline. When they were online they were slow, randomly rebooted, rolled back and/or disconnected players. I made several attempts to work with their support to correct the issues, including having the servers completely reinstalled, moving to different server nodes, etc. Nothing ever resolved the issues.
When I finally requested a refund they straight up denied me on the grounds it had been more than 72 hours since the start of my service. I repeatedly tried to explain that while I understood I'm outside the 72 hours for their money back guarantee, ultimately I should not be ineligible for a refund due to their service not working. Literally, I paid for something that does. not. work.
Anyway, they continued to refuse and so now it's gone to my financial institution in the form of a charge back.
This situation has happen several times as seen here – https://www.reddit.com/user/Shockbyte?count=25&after=t1_go4341g
TL;DR Shockbyte's service is absolutely awful and they will refuse to refund your money if it's been more than 72 hours, regardless of the reason you are requesting a refund
