PSG.LGD forfeited their 2/3 place-deciding tiebreaker against Xtreme Gaming. Thus, Xtreme Gaming ended up in 2nd place in the China DPC and received 200 DPC points, giving them a total of 440 so far – they'd have only received 100 had they lost to PSG.LGD. Since PSG.LGD has already qualified for TI, this in effect has given Xtreme Gaming a better chance of qualifying for TI without negatively affecting PSG.LGD.
This is unfair to other teams, both in CN and in other regions, as it negatively impacts their chances of qualifying. Say if Xtreme Gaming ends up scraping through to TI in 12th place (the last qualifying slot) – for example if they (reasonably realistically I think) get 5-6th place at the Arlington Major, they end up with 955 DPC points, more than the current 12th place team (Aster) with 940. Of course, Aster could also win DPC points at Arlington and go above 955, but Xtreme could also end up doing better than 5-6th place – all sorts of permutations are possible. The point is that what PSG.LGD did improved Xtreme Gaming's chances at the expense of other teams.
Should this be allowed?
