When a player wants to place both observers and sentries, the sentry almost always goes first (to make sure enemies can't see you putting the observer wards.
Also in teamfights or in ganks, you almost always want sentry wards at the ready rather than observer wards.
It just makes way more sense for sentries to be on top of observer wards by default, so this quality of life suggestion saves players a double tap of the item multiple times a game.
Or like previous patch, let players choose which one they want on top. In previous patch, the item you bought second would be on top in a sentry+obs mix item stack.
E.g.:
Buy observers then sentries –> sentry wards on top
Buy sentries then observers –> observer wards on top
But for some reason this patch they made it so observer wards are always on top.
Have no idea why it was done this way, and also you can't double tap wards in couriers to change their positioning.
So for players who got used to the previous order and would buy so that sentries are on top, it's become really annoying to have to remember to double tap the item to put sentries on top every single time the item comes to your inventory. Especially in turbo games where you have speed couriers and players sometimes buy wards literally right in the middle of fights to use them and you just want the item to come ready with the sentries ready to be used immediately.
Double tapping to change the ward is a simple and small action but Dota is already full of such simple and small actions that make the game kinda fiddly and tedious, and this particular simple and small action is completely unnecessary (they should just revert it so that whichever was bought second would be placed on top, exactly like it was in the previous patch a month ago). I can give more examples of small and fiddly and frankly slightly annoying actions that players have to perform, that could be improved with quality of life suggestions.
Btw I posted about this as a bug because the previous behaviour wasn't like that and for some reason the mods removed the thread, not sure why. So posting again.
