Ranked groups with 3+ medals between them

Am I the only one who is annoyed that it's possible to queue ranked with parties consisting of Heralds+Legends or Guardians and Ancients, etc?

Every single one of those games are stomps, from my experience. I get that the overall MMR, all added together, will be more or less equal between both teams. But that really doesn't matter, usually. Most often it just matters who has the highest ranked player on the most important position.

As a crusader myself, I constantly get into games where Legend 2 players queue for mid with some Herald 4 as support and then just roflstomps midlane for an early win.

Alternatively, the highly ranked player is support maiden and his team gets roflstomped because his carries are Heralds and guardians who go spectre mid and lose hard.

Has anybody else made similar experiences? I only see it on the crusader (5) bracket, but I imagine it's similar for lower levels and probably for a couple of higher ranks, too.

Would it help to perhaps limit parties in ranked with a 2 medal difference or some MMR difference (which I imagine makes much more sense than tying it to medals) or tighten the limit if one's already in place?
