Reasons why TI 10 should be held on the moon

With the recent announcement that issues came up for hosting it in Sweden, there has been a lot of talk about where it could be held instead. I have yet to see anyone suggest what is probably the best place to do so, the moon.

You might be asking, "how would that work, there are so many logistical issues that it is not feasable", to which I say, "eat shit and die".

Here are some issues that might be brought up and how it would work.

1: "How do people get there". Now the moon is far away for most people, further away than Australia, and people can't just fly normally, they need rockets. By partnering with a private company that sends rockets to space, like SpaceX for example, there could be special missions to get the Dota fans to the moon for TI.

2: "Where will they host it, there are no stadiums on the moon". This is the best part, because the moon has natural stadiums built in with the craters everywhere. All that would need to be done is make one habitable with an airtight seal and oxygen being pumped inside, maybe even chisel in seats for the crater, but the shape is perfect and can get some great views of the players.

3: "How will everything be powered". There are a few options for this, the best two I think would be either solar powered or bringing a lot of batteries. Solar power is commonly used for power in machines being sent to space, investing enough into panels to get electricity could be able to power the whole event, alternatively, although more tricky, batteries could be brought to the moon. I am not sure exactly how much electricity the event would use, but I would say about 7 packs of AA Duracell batteries from my local hardware store could do it.

4: "How will this all be paid for, it sounds way to expensive". Tickets can only be priced so much before people just can't buy them, and transportation will cost a fair amount as well, even if partnered with another company to help, however as there are no businesses already on the moon, Valve will basically control all commerce that goes on up there, and there are no economic laws on the moon either, so in the past any money that people spent on food and shelter will instead go to them. There are also other opportunities to get paid bringing some things to the moon for scientists or bring back samples, or even to headstart a colonization effort, which is wishful thinking but maybe its a solution.

5: "Won't Nightstalker be overpowered and Phoenix be underpowered?" ….. no

I hope my explanation makes sense on why hosting TI10 on the moon is not only possible, but a good idea due to the recent circumstances. Here is to hoping that Valve considers it. Sincerely, a normal human on earth and not Alternate universe Buzz Aldrin stuck on the moon.
