I'm having some difficulties evaluating the new Sigvald, especially in comparison with cards like Olaf, Blueboy and Harald. He seems bad and yet a lot of builds I've seen play him and list him as an important card.
Of the latter 3 each somehow converts 1 point of self damage into a net plus for you (Olaf boost by double amount, Blueboy and Harald Skull damage by 2)
Now lets look at Sigvald. He is unique in that any self damage is converted into bleeding so if you use a high self damage or multiple small self damage abilities come get a bonus in tempo but not in points. His Order allows you to convert that accumulated bleeding with the following cases as I see it.
I. Damage enemy:
a) Sigvald bleeding < 8 AND enemy power >= Sigvald bleeding -> +- 0 points from order
b) Sigvald bleeding < 8 AND enemy power < Sigvald bleeding -> – (bleeding – enemy power) points from order
c) Sigvald bleeding >=enemy power AND enemy power > Sigvald -> + (Sigvald bleeding – Sigvald power) points from order
II. Damage ally
a) Sigvald bleeding < ally power -> +- 0 points from order
b) Sigvald bleeding > ally power -> + (Sigvald bleeding – ally power= points from order
Cases I.a and II.a are point neutral, I.b is detrimental and I.c and II.b are the only ones where you come out with a net plus in points and they either require you to have ideally a 1 point unit or and 7+ enemy unit and a ton of bleeding on Sigvald. Aside the aforementioned factor of extra tempo when using a lot of self damage at once, I just don't see how he's worth it.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
