A match from a few months ago still sticks out to me as my favorite Cantarella moment. I forget which deck I was on, but I was going up against Double Cross Ball in its prime, prior to the nerfs. My opponent yolo'd their Cantarella rather than comboing it with Location, and they ripped my Oneiromancy. 13 provisions and the ultimate tutor gone from my deck, and all for a cost of 7 of their own provisions. I figured they had won the game on the spot with their Hearthstone-esque gamble, but I figured at least I might win Round 1 and see what happened. Nope. Coup De Grace on the poorly designed spy led to my Heatwave being yoinked next! My chances of winning Round 1 were gone as they removed a key unit. My Oneiromancy and draw was gone. My chance of Heatwaving their Ball in a future round was gone. This 7-provision gold card won the game in Round 1 before we even settled into our seats.
More recently, I opened up the game against NG using Oneiromancy as it led to my only proactive play. Immediately, I saw the Location drop and they Cantarella'd my Oneiro, into their Vincent, leading to the demise of my An Craite Longship that had Crystal Veil. Luckily, being on SK Witchers, I was able to still win out Round 1 and then won again in Round 2 during the bleed, primarily off the backs off Portal and 8 power Bear Witcher Adepts.
However, I am interested in hearing your stories about Cantarella. Are you lucky to the point where she only rips your 4-provision cards when your opponent plays her naked against you? Or have you been like me and lost multiple 13 or 14 provision cards due to the total RNG nature of her design? Let me know!
