Should I encourage my 12 year old nephew that just began the game to go to The Winking Cat?

I agree with many in the community that it is best to not simply give wealth to a new player. I agree with many in the community that the best way to help a new player is to simply answer questions without telling them what to do. He might or might not become aware of The Winking Cat opportunity if I don’t tell him about it. This is not not a “get rich quick scheme.” It is a holiday event. I imagine Frontier intends this for new Christmas gift players (as he is.) Nonetheless I am reticent to help him skip over the beginning of the game. Yesterday he got into a Hauler out of his Sidewinder.

What do y’all think?

Edit: After typing this out I’ve decided to keep my mouth shut unless he comes upon it while doing research. When I started a friend gave me 500k in LTD and I bought a Cobra straight away. Later I wished I had done it myself. So there ya go. What’re you trying to do with this event Frontier?
