Should the Gwent team give single mode another chance?

Ever since the announcement a week ago, I have been thinking about what would keep me, a super casual player, keep playing this game after 2023. Of all the options I could think of, the one that mind kept circling back to was a single player mode.

Up until the release of Rogue Mage, I always assumed it was going to be a simple single player mode addition to the game. But what we ended up if fine but not something would find myself playing regularly.

What I really wish for is a simple single player mode with the Gwent client itself that emulates Slay the Spire style. With the addition of community driven balance changes, this feels like the perfect way to experience Gwent for a casual like me.

I do not want them to dump resources into this and attempt something big. Just something simple and highly replayable is all I wish to see.

What are your thoughts on this?
