Hi all so I just smoked a couple bowls then took a shower and a thought about Tarkov occurred to me. "What actually is the purpose of the all ammo types in the game?" I have been playing EFT since middle of 2018 and have seen this game evolve a massive amount, both for the good and bad. One thing that has been consistent throughout the years though, is BSG's love for adding new ammo types into the game. It is certainly not an issue for some of the Calibers in the game, but others like 9×18 have around 14 different types of bullet. Why lol? Was there ever demand for more 9×18 bullets in this game at literally any point lmfao?

The reason I actually made this post was to pose a question to everyone and see what they thought, not really making a suggestion or calling fault to the systems in place. So, what do yall think? Would the game benefit from purging out some of the ammo selections in the game? What do you guys think of a system where each caliber had an AP choice, a HP choice, then something in between? Curious to hear thoughts and opinions!
