I'm expecting lots of strong arguments against this, and perhaps a few downvotes and what not, but please give it a pure thought, and kindly change my mind.
I love playing Hard Support. I play it happily at Divine 1-5 Rating. Once in a while, I solo queue into a Midlane + Hardcarry that are both at Legend rating.
My personal experience, is that when I am the lowest rated as Hard Support, I win more than when I am highest rated as Hard Support. Laning stage is such a vital part of the game right now, than obviously the higher support will do a better job at roaming and ganking. However, a Divine 1 midlane should be able to stomp a Legend 1, regardless of matchup. If he does somehow lose, he will know how to recover, more easily than the lower player.
The same logic can be applied to Safe Lane.
