I sympathize with those that hates the weight change, way too many people with near max strength and very little endurance. I hate it too.
But my main play style revolves around getting the drop on people, thus it's extremely important I stay under leveled, as being overweight will make sneaking around crouch walking very loud, giving you away.
I have to plan out my build primarily based on what armor I'm using. If I'm using the ratrig (9kgs), then I gotta consider a lighter backpack (beta/trizip), any headset, whatever gun, and whether I can use a helmet or not.
If I'm using MMAC (6-7kgs), then pilgrims and whatever else I want, including helmets.
I've been getting Bagariys (lvl5 13[!]kgs) armor from dead bodies. At that point on, light backpack, light gun like UMP, and most likely no helmet lol.
Sometime it even gets to the point where I have to consider the items in my gamma. AFAKs are substantially heavier than IFAKS, so IFAK I gotta use. A bullet or 2 can make or break the weight.
Once I engage in PvP and take their loot, that's when I stop caring about the weight. I got what I wanted, and I'm going straight to extract, thus leveling up my strength.
Anyone else the same way?
