Let me start by saying I love Fortnite and enjoy both modes, but I’m starting to get fed up with the way STW, the paid campaign btw, is being handled by the team.
Not only are we barely getting any content (a new zone after 2 years of silence wow) but now instead of fixing the horrible performance issues and the lag since the most recent conversion to Chapter 4, they decided to go and make the game harder by making it to where Flingers can now throw Huskies, making the game even more of a grinding slog fest and harder now that we have to build even more defenses, especially in high level zones.
Granted, the change itself is not that big of a deal, but it’s big enough to where you notice that they’ll put off on fixing the big issues in the game to add a completely unnecessary game mechanic that will make it more difficult on their already dwindling fan base. Do they just not want us to play STW anymore? Are they trying to frustrate us by adding useless nerfs and making the game harder while they focus on the mode that came after STW?
XP nerf, weapons being reworked in horrible ways, additions to wildlife heroes no one uses, broken glitchy zone, stronger enemies
Am I overacting here or what? Let me reiterate I’m not mad at the mechanic, I’m more mad at the principle — the fact that they chose to add this at the worst possible time when the game is in an almost broken state and the resources used should’ve been going to the big issues rather than small features.
TL;DR: Epic needs to focus less on “What can we change about the game?” and more on “What needs to be fixed before we make these changes?”
