A friend of mine insists that you should almost never insure anything. I felt that insuring everything all the time tended to work for me. I did a bit of research and mostly found that everyone has a different opinion on what to insure and when. I was surprised when I didn't really find any one who had tried to track their insurance so I decided to give it a try. I decided the best way to do this this would be to create a spreadsheet to track the amount I spend on insurance and how much money I would get from immediately selling items that are returned from insurance. I did this from January 6th 2022 to March 19th 2022. Here are of a couple of the important numbers:
Total Spent on Insurance: | ₽ 4,607,671.00 |
---|---|
Total Value From Selling Items Returned From Insurance: | ₽ 6,640,295.00 |
Total Number of Items Returned: | 553 |
Total Number of Items Lost: | 186 |
If you are interested, here is a link to a copy of my spreadsheet. Please feel free to make a copy of your own, criticize my kits, how I died, how little I play, the spreadsheet, etc. First sheet is a summary page with a bit more info like most & least returned gear, average kit cost and return value, etc. I apologize for the complicated mess that is the rest of this spreadsheet lol.
