– Ive tested this for a few weeks now as im slowly reaching kappa and currently at level 59. Ive thought about this for a few months aswell, It for sure feels like if you run solo, you mostly only meet solo queued players, and if you run in a group you meet more groups. This I kind of feel is confirmed, as I see this happen with big streamers aswell, plus my new friends that started playing this wipe have said that they almost never meet groups playing alone.
– Another thing is some kind of gear based matchmaking. I have had multiple daily/weekly quests that have been survive 12 times on factory or 50 times as a weekly. While ive been running that map with lets say SMGs or ARs, ive met people using similar setups, But when ive had 3 different dailies to kill PMCs with shotguns, and I run factory, they also have shotguns. I think it happens way too much to just be random.
