Always saw videos of tarkov on YouTube and thought it looked interesting. Some friends I play hunt showdown with started playing a while ago so I bought it.
I have to say I am pretty underwhelmed and disappointed. Especially when I consider how long it has been in development.
-Takes forever to load into matches.
-Damage and healing systems are bloated and confusing.
-Gun play is terrible because of often times laughably high recoil.
-Food and water mechanic is unnecessary. Game is brutally hard enough. Just seems like an after thought.
-Difficult to tell scav from PMC
Difficult to differentiate teammates from enemy
-Why no GPS?
I get not wanting to much hand holding and wanting to keep it a bit “realistic” but Tarkov seems like a game that is just difficult for the sake of being difficult..
