Something small that would give a greater impression of a living galaxy

I would love to see voice-acted, animated Galnet news segments on screens in stations and fleet carriers. Instead of just banner ads, make them into TVs reporting current events. Could have a generated NPC acting as the “anchor,” record enough lines to describe the system states coded into the background simulation, and mix “local news” in with Galnet in whatever system you happen to be in (not voicing out individual in-system faction names obviously (there’s way too many of them), but acknowledging that, say, “Water rationing remains in effect system-wide with the ongoing drought,” or “Medical supplies remain in high demand to address the ongoing outbreak,” signalling to any commanders in the concourse that there’s a trade opportunity there).

Show us a televised interview with Empress Lavigny-Duval about her return to the throne. Show us Felicia Winters exasperatedly tapping her foot behind definitely-not-a-wannabe-dictator Hudson as he explains why he really deserves a bonus term. Change up the segments from week to week, just so we can see and hear the galaxy evolving outside of text articles. Examples of games that come to mind which pulled this off are Mass Effect 3 and Cyberpunk.
