It seems that almost every magnified scope in Tarkov has an excessive amount scope shadow. IRL, this only happens when you have an INCORRECT distance between your eye and the scope, known as eye relief. For first time shooters, it's understandable that they'll experience scope shadow as they're not familiar where to properly place their eyes in relation to the scope and sight line. It just doesn't seem appropriate to replicate this effect in Tarkov.
Here's a comparison between the Vortex Razor HD in Tarkov with my own personal Vortex Viper PST (they're practically the same scope IRL). The IRL image has absolutely no scope shadow since my camera is at the appropriate eye relief. If it was too far forward or too far back, ONLY then would you begin to see scope shadow. The ideal eye relief for this specific optic sits about 4 inches from the lens, with about 2 inches of additional room on either side to move your eye closer or further, so it's very forgiving. Just wanted to rant a bit, still love this game!
For a slightly more accurate comparison, here's a pic of an IRL Vortex Razor Gen II vs the Tarkov one. This might be a better comparison as this camera had a better focus. The focus on my first pic blurred the housing a bit too much, giving the illusion there's scope shadow when there isn't.
