So I've seen tons of news on the GalNet about stations being attacked by Thargoids, and i just started doing evac missions to grind fed rank, and seeing the obvious Thargoid damage to the station made me think. Has anyone actually ever been present during a station attack? Or is it something that just happens in the background and we get to deal with the Aftermath?
I think it would be pretty neat to either be present and all of a sudden the station warning system blares, or your covas beeps and says "frameshift anomaly detected" (like it does when Thargoids jump away after interdiction) and then all of a sudden Thargoid ships start appearing and blasting away at the station and you get to fight alongside the security forces or try to load up people and escape the fighting or whatnot. Maybe deep space scanning detects Thargoid movement towards a cluster of systems and pilots are called to gather and defend a number of possible targets. What do you think, what are some mechanics (if any) that you would like to see implemented around Thargoid attacks?
