Hi all, I bought ED years ago and didnt really get into it until recently when I got a Steam Deck, or more precisely when I set up Touch menus. Playing on a PC always felt clunky, I had to remember so many bindings that after not playing for a while I had to look everything up again and again. That’s now solved for me.

Right now in basically just exploring, so the menus I have set up are not going to be great for everyone. I’m thinking about putting some serious effort in and building an “ultimate steam deck layout” to share, but wanted to gauge interest and get input on controls sets other play styles require.

Currently I have the following:

• right touch menu
  • 3x throttle settings (0,75,100)
  • FSD
  • Supercruise
  • Gmap
  • Smap
  • FSS
  • Discovery
  • Ship
    • Hardpoints
    • Landing Gear
    • Night Vision
    • Silent running
• Left touch Menu
  • Internal
  • External
  • Roles
  • Comms

Idea for menus:

• Specific Action Set for Maps
• Combat related
• Wing
• Have a main menu, then nest all under it
• Favorites menu

So for instance, if you want to deploy landing gear you use the right touchpad, click Ship, another menu opens and you click Landing Gear, then back to the previous menu.

Any ideas or input would be appreciated!
