For a realistic tactical shooter, ONE of these needs to be reduced noticeably
I prefer SQUAD's method where side strafing is around half the speed of forward movement
Also momentum
The problem is it results in "Fortnite dances" where instead of combatants rushing to cover to return fire, they simply dance back and forth in the open
Watch any "big time streamer" and you will see, ESPECIALLY once they are wearing armor, they prefer to wide-peek and side strafe in and out instead of using cover, because its better to "dodge headshots" and LET your armor tank hits than it is to utilize cover properly

400dmg to armor
Do they use cover?
Nope
Do they stop to make an accurate shot?
Nope
Just side strafe back and forth while firing on full auto
Realistic repsonse would be:
– Both players immediately RUN to cover, and THEN return fire, FROM cover
Ive fired MANY rifles on full auto against targets 25m away from standing
With an M27 (USMC variant of HK416) firing full auto from standing still (not moving), id say about 10 out of a 30 round mag even hit a FULL SIZED TARGET
Strafing would DRASTICALLY reduce your accuracy even further
Combined with full auto, I doubt you would even hit anything
Now sure, im sure there are people out there who can do that better than me, no doubt
But not to THIS degree
You don't see NAVY SEAL's side strafing in the open, we shouldn't see it in game
I want realistic gunfights
I want realistic tactics
