Testing on Recoil Control skill

I tested the recoil control stat gain in offline raids for 30 rounds fired from a variety of random guns.

The summary is that guns have different amounts of skill gain per round fired.

The method was, only 30 rounds total fired per gun, guns of the same calibre used the same ammo, each gun was tested in a fresh offline raid for the gain boost.

By testing all of the guns on a fresh offline raid each time, and only using 30 rounds, I can safely assume I am keeping the test fair for each gun, and have avoided any potential errors (EG if I did all guns in a row, the diminishment of skill gain would skew later results).

The results are, per 30 rounds:
RD704 : 1.3
Mutant: 1.4 (potentially an anomaly, i didnt retest but am certain i did not load more than 30 rounds)
PP91 Kedr: 0.6
PL-15: 1.3
Five Seven: 1.3
PPSH-41: 0.9
aks-74u: 1.3
ASH-12: 1.3
UMP-45: 0.9
PP-19: 0.9
Makarov: 1.7 (tested again with recoil increasing rounds, no change)

The results expose a few of the mechanics here. Through some means, some guns have different stat gains per shot, with my limited testing sample, the pattern is either gun's calibre, the type of gun or maybe something relating to hidden weapon stats.

The SMG type guns overall had a lower gain than the assault rifles, with the Kedr having the lowest, this could be based on the calibre being smaller than a 9×19/.45acp. or maybe the devs have specifically applied a modifier for each gun.

The pistols having higher gain than the SMGs mean that it is not solely based on the calibre, but somehow the weapon type. The anomaly of the mutant and makarov suggests it could be a specific value set to each gun by BSG.

Either way this mechanic seems to either be in a very half implemented stage, where some guns just have a blanket value based on their weapon type or maybe I just need a larger sample (im lazy) and would need to cross reference it to the hidden stats (convergence for example).

Feel free to pick up where left off Veritas.

PS: it's worth noting I do have my air filter installed, with the power turned on, but without a filter (as AirWingMarine proved) you do not need a filter to get the benefit, maybe this was patched tho idk. Combat skills shouldn't be affected by it, but for the sake of science it's worth mentioning..
