For those who don't know why this is such a big deal, Tfue is one of the last Fortnite holdouts who has so far refused to try out EFT. A lot of other major streamers like DrLupo and Cloak has already moved on (cloak was Tfue's Fortnite Duo partner for a while). But Today he did a poll on twitter asking if viewers wanted some EFT content and 60% said yes!
So the point is that Tfue has a lot of viewers who are among the most diehard Fortnite fans. The ones who will hold out no matter how bad the state of the game is, no matter how stale it gets (and it is in a really bad spot right now with the next season delayed by 2 weeks). He is also one of the reasons why Fortnite has been outperforming EFT more recently on twitch.
Personally, I highly doubt he will stay. But the very fact that he is trying the game will give it a lot of attention among players who aren't normally drawn towards this kind of game.
