I moved across the country for my wife's job a few years back. My dad and I still wanted to spend time together, so we tried out a few games and eventually settled on Valheim. We have been playing together for over a year, every Saturday for 2 – 6 hours.
My dad is not a gamer, at all. He often tells me "my fingers just don't move as fast as yours" as he swings at a monster that I killed several seconds ago. He cannot understand the storage room that I built, even with the labels so I just built him a few drop boxes and sort it while he is doing something else. He also makes sure to check every meadows village chest because "there might be something new", despite the fact that we have explored more than 100 meadows villages. I love it.
Thanks to the Valheim team for creating a game that is fun and interesting enough to keep our relationship strong. We get to role play as Viking warriors together. It has turned into one of highlights of the week for each of us, and I will miss a lot before I'll miss Saturday morning Valheim with my dad.
Just a few pics of our adventure here
