The Cards you should Craft if you’re a Beginner

I have seen a lot of players recently asking about what cards they should craft for their faction. Here I will give what I believe to be a more or less consensual list of card crafting priority. High Priority cards are those that you 100% must have in your deckbuilder; Mid Priority are those that either you will generally see more often or which are good starting points to start to create a viable, competitive deck even with low resources (which is mostly Scenarios); and Low Priority cards are those that you should definitely get when you can, but not generally at the expense of the previously mentioned ones. For further information about these cards, check out the website https://gwent.one/

Neutrals:

High Priority:
Oneiromancy;
Heatwave

Mid Priority:
Royal Decree;
Geralt: Igni;
Roach;
Knickers

Low Priority:
Renfri;
Runemage;
Golden Nekker;
Ciri: Nova

Note: Oneiromancy and Heatwave are an absolute must-have, and they are everywhere. Royal Decree, Roach, and Knickers are easy to use consistency tools that can fit into a lot of decks, while Geralt: Igni is currently the best tall punish for greedy decks that hide being Defenders or Immunity. Renfri + Runemage and Golden Nekker + Ciri: Nova offer each of them a rather competitive pay-off for a specific deckbuild restriction, each of which can find it's home in any of the different factions.

Northern Relms (NR):

High Priority:
Amphibious Assault

Mid Priority:
Siege;
Damsel in Distress

Low Priority:
Donimir of Troy

Note: Amphibious Assault is a must, period. It's pointslam, it tutors, and it protects your bronze engines. The Scenarios offer each of them incredible pay-off for their archetypes, whole decks can be build around them and win games even if you don't have a lot of golds yet. And Donimir is a Defender, which is always something you must get eventually, since it's very versatile and it fits into many decks.

Scoia'tael:

High Priority:
None

Mid Priority:
Feign Death;
Mysteries of Loc Feainn;
Saskia: Commander;
Simlas Fin Aep Dabairr

Low Priority:
Call of the Forest

Note: There is no single ST card that you will see in almost every deck. Most decks will, however, run one of the two scenarios, and either Saskia or Simlas, if not both. Call of the Forest is a good alternative to Royal Decree, it doesn't break Devotion, and it synergizes with the Symbiosis archetype. ST is probably the faction that uses its Defender the least, so I didn't include it on this list.

Monsters:

High Priority:
None

Mid Priority:
Haunt

Low Priority:
Naglfar;
Cave Troll

Note: Like ST, MO doesn't have any "fit all decks" kind of card, and decks can differ immensely between archetypes. Haunt is a very good scenario, and it synergizes with some of the best MO cards. Naglfar, while not great, is MO's most versatile tutor in terms of what decks it can fit into; and Cave Troll is very important to defend your engines in some archetypes.

Nilfgaard (NG):

High Priority:
Yennefer's Invocation;
Vilgefortz

Mid Priority:
Jan Calveit;
Masquerade Ball

Low Priority:
Ffion var Gaernel

Note: Yenvo and Vilge (using their short forms here) are NG's best tall punish cards, and generally every NG deck will have at least one of them. Calveit is one of the entire game's best consistency tolls. Masquerade Ball, while not as good and versatile as in the past, can still be incredibly powerful at times, and it's a good starting if you don't have a lot of golds. Lastly, many decks use Ffion to pull off some of the more greedy strategies.

Skellige (SK):

High Priority:
Fucusya

Mid Priority:
In Gedyneith's Shadow;
Sigrdrifa's Rite

Low Priority:
Blood Eagle;
Covenant of Steel

Note: Fucusya is one the best cards in the game, period. It's like Amphibious Assault but for your graveyard, while also having a 1 provision higher reach and using damage instead of boost (with a 4 power body on top of it). Gedyneith is a great scenario that can pull off insane value even from low cost bronzes, and Sigrdrifa can resurect any of your cards, even if it does deny it its Deploy ability. Blood Eagle is SK's best tutor (even if it only supports the Warrior archetype), and once again a Defender (Covenant of Stell) can be very useful in many decks.

Syndicate (SY):

High Priority:
Vivaldi Bank

Mid Priority:
King of Beggars;
Conjurer's Candle

Low Priority:
Azar Javed

Note: Vivaldi is basically SY's only tutor, which is a must, since SY likes to go for Devotion a lot of the time. King of Beggars can fit into a very, very large number of decks, while also having incredible pay-off, and Conjurer's Candle even more so, since it boost above it's coin usage, it has Resilience, and it can protect your engines. Azar is also the games best Defender, since it puts two small Defenders on the board, which can in turn even be boosted by Candle. (SY doesn't gain much from it's scenarios, specially for beginners, so I would argue they are not a priority.)

Like I said, I tried to be the most consensual I could, specially regarding the High Priority cards, but of course some of the other more experienced players may disagree with me here and there, so keep in mind any helpful comments that do show up!
