SY was always about being hard to learn, even harder to master but offering great versatility and power in the right hands. The coin mechanic was always a very powerful tool but it's versatility was balanced by being capped at 9 and requiring a lot of thought and perfect (complicated) sequencing to get the most value out of your coins. Also awkward draws could fuck you over.
It was great having such a complicated faction and it was so satisfying to play it well.
But then for some reason CDPR decided to dumb it down so even a drunk monkey can easily win with it.
Sequencing with Cove and Jackpot is so ridiculously easy to sequence, overprofiting basicly doesn't exist any more. "Hahaha coins go brrrrrrrrr".
Couple that with the fact that the faction's best cards now are midrange cards that just slam down points without requiring setup or combos and you have barely anything of the old SY DNA left.
You now have all the benefits of the faction without any of the drawbacks and I hate it.
Why did they have to betray their own great ideas in such a way?
