The gaming industry has come a long way since the early arcade days. I remember playing f**ING Tetris and a few years later GTA which I thought was the pinnacle of video games at the time with those visuals (talk about bad judgment)
I could never imagine what we have now! The gaming business is evolving in terms of improving the gaming experience.
The global gaming business is expected to be valued at USD 314.40 billion by 2026, up from USD 173.70 billion in 2020, with a CAGR of 9.64% between 2021 and 2026. That's a significant difference if you ask me.
Most of the credit goes to technological innovation. The introduction of VR, AI, and AR, as well as their integration with gaming consoles such as the Xbox and PS5, has transformed the gaming experience into something previously unimaginable.
Blockchain and cryptocurrency are already impacting the gaming industry with innovations and utilities that benefit both players and gaming companies. A new wave of shocks is on the way. We also have a Play to Earn approach which is perhaps the biggest, with games like CryptoGene, Axie, God's Unchained, and new projects in their infancy that promise to further revolutionize the industry like BeyondLife.
What do you think is most interesting about the growth of the gaming industry?
