I'm trying to get my head around what the Thargoid death star is. We can see it in real time, which is new. Things moving in supercuise can only usually be seen in real time when you yourself are in supercuise, yes?
Yet this thing can bee seen with the naked eye from the surface of a moon. It's several levels of technology higher than anything ever seen before and is breaking all the rules. It should not be visible, unless we're seeing something that happened in the past? This could be for a couple of reasons.
The Salvation event caused the Thargoid site to warn the hive it was being attacked or altered and sent a message back in time. Alternatively this thing could be arriving now for unrelated reasons to the salvation event. Neither option is particularly comforting to consider. Finally, it could be we're seeing a phenomena created in real time due to a supercuise/witch space effect we just haven't seen before.
Whatever, it's huge. (If you look up the Kardashev scale they're probably a two, two and a half).
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
