Both of these cards were clearly meant to be "really good cards with very strict deck building constraints".
The "nice" thing about Renfri is that you can take any dogshit pile of cards, remove the specials, put her in and have a competitive deck. Which, in theory, could create more list variety on the ladder. The obvious problem though is that there are some pretty damn strong all-unit lists you could make even without Renfri. So the deck building "constraint" is not really that strict of a constraint.
Compare this instead to Golden Nekker's deck building constraint. Consider the sets of cards A = {unit cards that play above the power curve}, versus B = {under 10 provision cards that play above the power curve}. I would argue that the size of A is a lot bigger than the size of B. So the number of obnoxious lists you can make with Renfri is a lot greater than the number you can make with GN.
I suspect that they'll nerf Renfri with either a provision nerf or a nerf to all the blessings/curses. But I think it'd be interesting to instead rework the deck building constraint to be appropriately strict.
