The unwritten raid rules of Tarkov

I feel like for a lot of us Tarkov veterans we tend to avoid doing certain things that might be perceived as scummy. Perhaps we do it out of courtesy of others, or perhaps it just makes us feel bad. Tarkov may be a lawless wasteland but every so often you might find yourself being spared by another player or even helped out. Below I listed a few things I noticed most players (and streamers) don't do (or do). There's nothing that prevents you from doing any of these things, but if you do violate some of these things, you might be an asshole.

  1. Shoot players doing quests. I feel bad for those poor level 3 hatchlings that grab the gold watch from the truck on customs and get their brain painted onto the truck door by a geared PMC. Or factory planting in that room for that goddamn skier quest but then some twat in his fort armor empties 30 igolnik rounds on your naked prone questing ass. You should feel bad about shooting questers, man. I always let questers go about their day or at least finish planting before shooting. It's good karma, bro
  2. Exit camp. I already know I'm gonna get downvoted a bit, so I won't be nice to you exit campers. Fuck you, I hate you all. Streamers hate it, players hate it, everyone hates it. Even rats hate it. There's nothing worse than having a great time on a raid then being fucked up the ass by a naked mosin man in the bushes at EMERCOM checkpoint who's been there for 30 minutes waiting for a chad to extract. It's even more soul crushing when you're extracting after completing a god awful quest that requires an extract. I want to say this applies to running into other players when you're in the extract, but this isn't a law of the jungle. I do let other dudes extract but I'm one of those nice guys that girls talk about that never gets laid because I'm just such a good friend.
  3. Respect the wiggle. If you see a player wiggle (lean left and right rapidly) and not shoot at you, it usually means they're friendly. I know some quests want you to dome PMC's and that's an understandable thing to do, but don't wiggle back at the guy like "yeah I'm friendly" then blast him in the back. Tarkov is a lot of fun when you find friendly players, and it even increases odds of survival sometimes. Some extracts require friendly scavs to get out, and trust me that can be a real ass saver sometimes. Try wiggling some time, you might find a battle buddy. They might panic shoot you, so it's really a risk to be friendly. Unfortunately I've had a few friendlies just shoot me in the back of the head at .5 seconds left during our extract, but like I said. Karma, bro!
  4. Shoot player scavs. This one is loosely followed; I know there's some major trust issues with player scavs when you're out there scavenging about, and most of us just shoot player scavs, but some guys work together to take down PMC's or hostile player scavs. It's incredibly rewarding sometimes. Usually the wiggle is how I identify friendly scavs. That or I pretend to be an AI so I don't get shot. It's nice to have a guy protecting you while you loot bodies, and vice versa.
  5. Share loot with friendlies and squadmates. I'm a rat, if I find a red keycard I'm instantly securing it, I don't care if my teammate is the breathtaking Keanu himself. But if you find really good loot and already have a portion of it, share it with the boys. I know it's a lot of money sometimes but follow the golden rule; Treat others how you want to be treated. Taking all the loot is a good way to have a rando just shoot you. Plus if you share good loot, your rando will begin to trust you even more. Trust is a hard thing to come by in this game from strangers, so it's worth a lot.

That's all I got for now, do you guys agree or disagree with these "rules"? I'd love to hear what you all think, and I'd also love to hear what other rules you guys follow in the anarchy of Tarkov. I wrote this between a bunch of queues so pardon any typos.
