Star Citizen is having a trial period right now until the end of May so I figured I’d download it and give it a try. Dear God what a buggy mess! After character creation and choosing where to spawn, it got stuck on the loading for about 3 minutes then crashed to the desktop I then relaunched it and was able to move my character around but the frame rate was in the toilet. At this point I had to step away from the desk so the game eventually sent me to the main menu. When I came back I launched it from the main menu and this time when I moved my character off the bed he was lying on, everything froze briefly and then somehow I found myself floating in space. LOL, there were literally stars all around me but the game kept giving tips like I was still in the starting room. Once again I restarted it and got as far as the clinic and tried to buy some meds but it repeatedly failed with a “location invalid”error (whatever that means). At this point I had had enough I exited the game and uninstalled it. This is what people are leave Elite for? Seriously? Make no mistake about it Elite has its problems but it is nothing compared to this. I know it’s an Alpha build, but for software that’s been in development for this long, they charge people a minimum of 45 bucks for this? To anyone on here thinking of moving to Star Citizen you should at least use the trial period to try it out before you drop 45 bucks for an Alpha
