I must say last wipe I was getting pretty jaded with Tarkov even though it’s been one of my favourite games for years now.

Combat seemed laggy and desynched half the time, hit reg seemed dodgy because PMCs could move ridiculously fast and most fights were just lame affairs of getting bum rushed by squads or armoured chads with full auto. Add to that a brutal cheating epidemic and I was fed up.

Suddenly this patch feels like by far the best version of Tarkov I’ve ever played. I have a 70% survival rate at the moment because combat is actually tactical now and holding angles works.

I’ve never had so much fun with PVP – now it’s amazing and for the first time in three wipes I am actually seeking fights out because they are genuinely tense and fun.

I’ve had super close thirty second exchanges of fire from cover with enemy players. I’ve actually suppressed people with my shotgun so I can flank them, because they can’t ADAD past my buckshot.

Now with inertia it’s actually a disadvantage to just W + M1 fights like a brainless idiot and I love that. Sniping is actually viable now because people can’t bunnyhop 30 metres at a time. Full auto doesn’t dominate at every range all the time anymore.

Factory now feels like an intense game of cat and mouse where you must time your shots and aim carefully. Love it.

Finally I’m yet to run into a single hacker this wipe, I presume due to flea changes. And it’s wonderful.

Anyway that’s all I wanted to say. Inertia rules, new map is great, excellent job BSG.
