Clumping: As a 1k (~1300) player who often watches YouTube and twitch for higher rank plays, I noticed a huge disparity in the skill difference going from guardian 2 to 3 and similarly from 3 to 4. I don't know if the difference is supposed to be that huge in a single medal star change but I now think that was because of the clumping. e.g, in guardian 2, I'd often see people who didn't know about the deadlane at all, didn't care much about pulling camps or contesting camps, (un)blocking camps and the general mechanics just felt sloppy. Going to guardian 3, I felt I could no longer pull camps without getting contested, players would aggro creeps to their ranged, have much better map awareness than before etc.
I know skills are supposed to get better but I didn't expect such big jumps in a single star medal. Is it supposed to be like that or that's definitely because of the clumping? I think they've just pushed every rank from 1k onwards a bit up to reduce clumping and have a more even distribution of MMR. I didn't calibrate yet but I'm getting matches with archons? ( I don't believe I'm an archon in any way but if this is the new skill level required to be an archon, the og archons must be much higher now?)
