Thoughts on state of PVP?

I love PVP, I pretty much exclusively only PVP now, I dont scav run or loot and what I've noticed, and I think has been talked about a lot is, PVP is rarely profitable. Unless I am running resort/dorms/marked room on reserve its very unlikely I am making money (mind you, I am running max setup, slick + 200K plus weapons).

I understand Nikita thinks this type of PVP SHOULD NOT net you money, he believes in the long term, you will lose money and you HAVE to loot but I just find it….unbalanced? For me to net money, I have to go in with mid tier setup (tier 4 armour, <150K weapon etc) and even then I need to kill 5+ PMCs (given some are hatchlings and low value). Since I've started PVPing with max gear I pretty much break even and thats only because I am a good PVP player (1000+ PMC kills this wipe..and its my first wipe).

I wanted to get everyones thoughts, SHOULD PVP be profitable? Should dogtags be used for something worthwhile to make PVP more enticing?

I think the ONLY exception to this rule is Labs, which is overrun my hackers. Even if everyone is a hatchling, you can farm raiders to make your money back. IF you find a PMC, they are most likely running slicks.

What are all your thoughts?
