Tips for a new player, particularly how to break bad habits/form good ones?

I frequently will die/lose gun fights because:

I don't reload often enough and run out of ammo, but am hesitant to reload as I often have too much in my tac vest and drop mags. Because of this I check my ammo a lot but in doing so also get caught with my pants down in an animation as I am checking ammo. Similarly with healing, I will think I am safe and start healing only to be caught out healing and defenseless. Combine all of this with my map knowledge being moderate so far (some maps I am absolutely lost on) and hesitancy on shooting as I play with buddies a lot and don't want to team kill, this has led to me feeling like I lost a lot of gun fights I would have actually won had I not hesitated/not had such bad habits with reloads etc.

Any tips on how to break these habits/things to practice, I understand its "just stop doing those things LOL" kinda mentality. However, I find it hard even when I am cognitively aware of what I need to change. I am not doing bad per say, I have around a 3 kd and 52% survival rate in around 50 raids so far first wipe, but I feel I am coming from other FPS games where I dominate to here where I make all these little dumb habitual mistakes and get caught with my pants down. Advice is welcomed!!
