Trap Discussion: Ceiling Electric Field

Arguably the new king of ceiling damage traps (sorry gas trap!). It's a flexible damage trap that zaps husks in a 3×3 grid. If you don't have one, you'd do well to prioritize getting a good version of this trap.

The materials required to make it are fairly common, the hardest being batteries, which are still fairly common.

Synergizes with freeze traps and wooden floor spikes to slow down enemies for extra hits. Frozen enemies take extra damage.

If you already have a good energy version of this trap, you might consider a nature version in zones with lots of water husks.

Tier: S

Pros

  • Can be placed two tiles high to avoid propane tank explosions
  • AOE radius allows multiple traps to stack
  • All damage is inflicted at once
  • Good against elemental husks
  • Flexible: Can be Energy or Nature
  • No impact damage, so it doesn't trigger CC immunity

Cons

  • (Unsure) Could be a target limit

How I perk it

Steady damage

  • Energy
  • Reload Speed
  • Damage
  • Reload Speed
  • Damage
  • Durability

Do you think it's S tier? How do you perk yours?
