Trees not growing?

Hello all.

So I'm playing Valheim of course, and I'm using the Tree Drops and Plant Everything mods. My issue is I'm planting like 10-20 trees at a time, but hours later when I return, only like 4 or 5 grew and the saplings I planted are gone even if they didn't grow. I've tried spacing them out far apart and this doesn't seem to have an effect.

Is there something I'm missing? Is there just a metric where by 2/3 of your planted trees fail to grow? Is it a bug? Is it a feature?

Edit: So, thank you all for your advice! What I tried was, first, I disabled Tree Drops because…I'm honestly not sure what the hell I was thinking but Plant Everything does everything Tree Drops does too. Second, I modified the spacing of pine saplings in the Plant Everything config from the default of 2 down to 0.5. I should have done this separately because one of those two things worked. My planted trees are all growing now. So for anyone in the future who may have this problem, one of these things (and let's be real, it's probably the spacing issue because chances are none of you are going to be using Tree Drops ever again anyway) will fix this issue.
