I like valheim I've put almost 200 hours in it and after a first run in 2021 and now a second run here in 2023 the games lacks….alot. so much so that I'm not sure where to begin.
So I'll attempt to break it down as clearly as possible.
On any new play through the first several hours are pretty enjoyable your unlocking new things and getting those sweet rushes of dopamine. After the elder is where I think I start complaining.
Levithians chitin doesn't do much like hit maybe 3-5 and never touch them again because it's useless same for the scales from the serpent once you make the shield useless.
Inventory is so limited why haven't the devs implemented an RPG style Inventory with armor slots and utility slot for the belt and wish bone like I have to waste 5 slots just for that stuff+ the weight for those items.
Black forest you get copper and tin to make bronze which you make into weapons and armor
Swamp you get iron which again makes weapons and armor
Mountain you get silver which makes armor…
Plains you get iron again to make armor and then black metal to make weapons???? Why not have a black metal armor set? Hello excuse me? Wtf
So you could have your inventory full of stone and still teleport through a portal but ingots or ore…nah you can't teleport that stuff.
All said I think mods carry this game because honestly whatever the devs are smoking it's gotta be some really good shit. If it wasn't for mods I probably wouldn't even consider a play through on this game.
Am I alone in this boat or do others feel the same?
