Specifically, the meta variety, not its balance. If you print an extremely good neutral card it can go in so many decks- we had this with Mushy Truffle for awhile. The issue with Nekker is that its very good and it also requires a deck to be built around it. So all the decks you face end up feeling very samey. Pretty much all GN decks run GN, Aerondight, Ciri, Roach, Knickers and Ring, (to be fair Ring is utterly busted and played in a ton of decks that aren't GN. At the very least it should start at 0 buff.) It ends up feeling like the faction is Golden Nekker and everyone's just playing different leaders of it.
If it was a "for fun" card that wasn't really that competitive, that would be one thing. And its certainly not brokenly OP nor am I claiming it is. It just makes so many games feel like "I played this match already."
Im fully aware I'm in the minority here, just its not fun having 60-70% of the decks I face being GN ones. It's not even a matter of winning versus it, I haven't kept track but Im fairly sure I've won like 2/3 games against it. Most people have a rough time setting up a good GN. It's purely a matter of the meta feeling stale even though the pack just dropped a couple weeks ago simply because I see the sameish decks two of out three matches.
